Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Brand Management, Hyatt Vacation Ownership, reports to the Director, Brand Management and is an integral part of the Global Brand Strategy and Management Team. This role is responsible for developing brand strategies that drive loyalty for the Hyatt Vacation Ownership brands. This enthusiastic, collaborative, and creative thinker will lead the day-to -day execution of brand marketing plans and brand management tactics necessary to deliver against agreed upon goals. He/she will act as the main point of contact with internal business partners to provide overall strategy and guidance to functional teams across channels and audiences to execute holistic and fully integrated programs, campaigns and initiatives for the organization that are in support of the brand vision and strategy.

Expected Contributions

  • Has in depth knowledge of brand strategy and works with business partners to ensure programs and campaigns are aligned and optimized; brings ideas and industry insight to the table.

  • Develops operating plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.

  • Develops and writes comprehensive marketing briefs/plans in alignment with business partner needs for optimization and execution of cross-functional fully integrated efforts and campaigns.

  • Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress, and results.

  • Responds to, solves, and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk. Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.

  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff. Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.

  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

    • acting in a consultative fashion to implement programs impacting the broader organization.

    • assisting in the development and communication of broader organizational goals.

    • achieving results against budget within scope of responsibility.

    • taking calculated risks to move the brand forward.

    • developing and using systems to organize and keep track of information.

    • working with others to identify and remove barriers to success.

  • Collaborates cross functionally to ensure alignment of messaging across audiences and channels.

  • Understands how to execute against Paid, Owned, Earned media strategies where relevant.

  • Partners closely with internal COE teams for expertise and to meet deliverables across functions: Global Creative and Delivery, Global Content and Social Team, Digital Teams, Public Relations and Internal Communications to ensure pull through and activation to all channel touchpoints in alignment with brand vision and strategy.

  • Act as the main point of contact for business partners to ensure brand marketing deliverables are met and tactics are executed on time in coordination with other functions.

  • Responsible for executing against program or campaign strategy and ensuring the highest level of service is delivered.

  • Works with outside vendors to deliver brand positioning and immersion training.

  • Develops initiatives that drives the brand culture internally and externally.

  • Collaborates with internal business partners on integrating brand marketing elements into broader business strategies and campaigns.

  • Partners with Global Data and Insights team to help define preliminary strategies, determine actionable KPIs- and measure the overall performance campaigns and channels; Responsible to report out on efforts to B&D leaders and business partners.

  • Works with external agency partners when necessary to ensure program tactics are executed on- time and at a high-quality.

  • Research potential brand activations for business partners, recognizes areas for economies of scale and leverage; and brings strategic insight to conversations.

  • Partners with Content Team to ensure planned video and photo content captures all internal partner needs for planned campaigns and brand marketing use on annual basis.

  • Completes and attends internal trainings as needed.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

  • Responds to ad-hoc requests that require brand management oversight.

  • Maintains positive working relations with business partners, internal and external partners, and Brand& Digital COE.

  • Provides feedback to continually improve work processes and systems.

  • Attends training and conferences and actively seeks out opportunities to increase subject matter expertise and broaden skills.

Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years brand management experience working cross functionally in house or agency environment.

  • Relevant professional experience should include (but not limited to): brand activation or marketing services support; media, partnerships and promotions, account direction, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

  • Demonstrated experience with project management and reporting capabilities.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of strategy pull-through, digital, app and online marketing initiatives, emerging technologies, and social media best practices.

  • Strong communicator.

  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline sensitive projects; takes initiative and anticipates needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel as needed (estimated 10%).
